The story of Robert was an average one until he took a newly marketed pill whilst sitting on his couch. The pill let him live inside his own mind and forget the reality he lived in. In this newly created world Robert had a beautiful girlfriend whom he had regular sex with, a big house right beside the ocean as well as a very loyal dog and many friends. There was a party every night and everything was perfect, he would stay young forever and live without worries. However this didn’t last very long, after a while this manufactured perfection began to wear on Robert. The parties became the same as the last and his imagination couldn’t think up anything more interesting than what was already in existance. Day after day, life became a grind.
The sex wasn’t good anymore even though it was everything he wanted, the big house wasn’t getting any better. Soon Robert caught himself wanting to go back to the flawed reality he left so eagerly, he wanted things that were wrong and unpredictable. All the things he took for granted before, now he wanted back. But there was no going back…
While he sat in his great big house and watched his perfect girlfriend make the perfect dinner, he longed for the imperfect life.
